Saturday 31st May 2014

Great Barford has been twinned with Wöllstein for many years and strong friendships have been forged between families. 2014 was Great Barford's turn to host their German friends. This year they brought a party of school children along with them on an educational visit.

Members of. the Great Barford/Wöllstein Partnership  decorated the Village Hall in preparation for the event. The programme of activities the Partnership planned for the visit is included at the bottom of this page. Click on the black writing for more information about the Partnership.

PictureGreat Barford Village Hall was decorated with banners for the occasion.

Once again the Alma Singers were invited to sing after the
Wöllstein Partnership's evening dinner at Great Barford Village Hall on Saturday 31st of May. The programme was:

1.    Whistle Down the Wind
2.    Fields of Gold
3.    The Water is Wide
4.    Les Miserables
5.    It Don’t Mean A Thing
6.    I Have a Dream

The Wöllstein Partnership invited The Alma Singers to remain with them, after singing, to enjoy the rest of the evening. They were very pleased that so many of the choir took up their invitation.
