Bedford Hospitals Charity Appeal - May 2013
The Alma Singers were invited to put on a concert to raise money for the Bedford Hospitals Charity Appeal: 'A & E Just For Children' at the Christopher Fry Hall, Bedford Modern School.

Our Musical Director was David Ewbank, our piano accompanist was Tessa Wood and our soloists Chris Thomas, Sue Allinson, Hannah Bavington and Frances Maynard.

The concert included an interesting arrangement of the spiritual 'Swing Low Sweet chariot', 'There is no Rose' by Benjamin Britten and the folk song 'Linden Lea'. We found that the Christopher Fry Hall was an excellent venue: well lit by natural light with excellent acoustics.
