Angie Woodcraft: Our MD
Angie Woodcraft has a wealth of musical experience and a background in education.
She trained at Southlands College, London and when she graduated worked in a Bedfordshire Middle School as Head of Music and class teacher. Whilst she was there, she built the reputation of the school musically, establishing a choir of nearly 100 and a Chamber Choir of 20; producing many concerts and shows which were very well received. Following a career break she returned to work in schools, but on the administration side of things, where she continued until recently when she moved to work for The Open University. |
Outside of work, Angie has always been involved in musical things! She was Musical Director for various shows at university and when she came to Bedfordshire, working mainly with Ampthill Operatic Society. She has played clarinet in the orchestra for Stewartby Operatic Society and was Musical Director for several of their shows. She was also Musical Director at Flitwick Singers for 10 years and ran a Churches Together Choir in the local Ampthill / Flitwick area. She is one of the organists / pianists at Ampthill Methodist Church and enjoys making the organ ‘sing!’
