- Frosts Garden Centre Willington - Christmas songs for late night shoppers - November 2012
Frosts Garden Centre at Willington has a tradition of inviting groups to perform Christmas music at the garden center at Christmas time. It is also an opportunity to collect money for charitable causes.
The Alma Singers were asked to sing in the Garden Centre shop. The programme, left, featured traditional Christmas Carols as well as the lively Calypso, the atmospheric Walking In The Air and, for the children, Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer. We also sang The Perfect Gift of Love, a carol written and composed by our Musical Director Graham Weeks. See the programme, left, for full details of what we sang that evening. In 2012 Our intrepid 'bucket carriers' went round the garden centre to collect donations from late night Christmas shoppers in aid of The Alma Singers' chosen charity, Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital. |
