The Alma Singers is a choir based in Great Barford, Bedfordshire.
The Alma Singers is a female choir based in Great Barford, near Bedford.
From a small group founded by a local lady, Alma Tebbutt, in 2010, we have developed into a three part choir.
We are passionate about singing and fit as much music into rehearsals as possible. Our main aim is to enjoy our singing and the uplifting approach
of our musical director, Dianne Walters, motivates and inspires to do this.
We sing a wide variety of music ranging from songs from the shows, through classical Rutter to African tribal music - so there is something for everyone.
We have performed concerts for Bedford Hospital trust, Elstow Abbey, local church and village events and private functions. Some choir members have also performed in Germany whilst being hosted by Great Barford’s twin town of Wöllstein.
We meet on Monday evenings at 7.30pm in the hall at the Methodist church, Bedford Road, Great Barford MK44 3JD.
We welcome new members - so why not come along!
