The Alma Singers is a community choir based in Great Barford near Bedford.
Home
Starting from a small group founded by a local lady, Alma Tebbutt, in 2010, we have developed into a three-part choir. Our main aim is to enjoy our singing and we fit as much music into rehearsals as possible. With a wide repertoire, we sing music ranging from songs from the shows, through classical Rutter to African tribal music - there is something for everyone. We have performed concerts for Bedford Hospital trust, Elstow Abbey, local church's, village events and private functions. Some choir members have also performed in Germany whilst hosted by Great Barford’s twin town of Wöllstein. Rehearsals We meet on Monday evenings at 7.30 to 9pm in the hall at the Great Barford Primary Academy, Silver St, Great Barford, Bedford MK44 3JU. Car parking is available on site from 7 pm.
Come and join us whatever your singing ability and experience. You do not need to read music and there are no auditions. If you are interested please contact Pat Martin-Moran on 01234 870 198 or get in touch through our Contact us page. |
